Bilateral Growth

installation
2012-15

Interested in the push and pull between the technological and the organic, this installation addresses shifts in our culture that simultaneously drive us toward the organic, sustainable, local, and natural while also pulling us to be connected, plugged in, networked, tweeted, updated, and always in possession of the latest technological gadgets. Network cables are morphed into bunches of wheat, plants grow from plugs, and other representations address this duality.
